Cesária Évora was born on the 27th August 1941 in Mindelo, Cabo Verde. daughter  of Justino da Cruz Évora a guitar and small guitar player and  Dª Joana. She was considered to be the "ambassadress of Morna", she released 24 albums between originals, live and featuring artists from other countries.

In honor of a great lady that recently left us, a great loss for capeverdean music and music in general
you will not be forgotten !!!
